March 23, 2012 – Western Washington University stopped Biola’s winning streak at four games, beating the Eagles by a score of 9-6. The #21 ranked Vikings proved to be too much for Biola, as they outscored Biola by three in the second half to secure the victory.

WWU started out strong in the first quarter, scoring twice while keeping Biola off the scoreboard. The Eagles countered in the second quarter, outscoring the Vikings 3-1 to tie the game at 3-3 going into halftime. The third quarter played out exactly like the first, with WWU taking a two goal lead and keeping Biola’s offense from finding the goal. The Eagles fought back with three goals in the fourth quarter, but were countered by four goals by WWU, including two late in the game to secure the win.

Senior attackman Adam Kingston lead Biola’s offense, scoring two goals and adding one assist. Senior attackman Marc Morgan added two goals of his own, and junior attackman Jeff Clark scored once and notched one assist. The only midfield scoring came from senior Jon McMahan who also scored once and added one assist. Senior defenseman Justin Harrington recorded his first point of the season on an assist to Clark. Senior goalie Sean Lane made 14 saves in the loss.
