March 15, 2014 – The Biola University men’s lacrosse team won their second conference game of the season, winning 19-6 over the Cal. State University Channel Islands Dolphins. A tightly contested first quarter ended 3-2 in favor of the Eagles, before Biola blew the game open in the second.

The Eagles’ offense found their stride in the second quarter, scoring eight times, taking an 11-2 lead into the halftime break. Biola’s defense held strong, holding the Dolphins to two goals in each of the first three quarters. The Eagles notched five more goals in the third, and outscored Channel Islands 3-0 in the fourth to finish off the win.

David Shaum (So., Attack) lead all scorers with 11 points on 10 goals and one assist. Jon Prichard (Fr., Attack) matched his four goals with four assists, and Eric Gamelson (So., Attack) rounded out the attack scoring with one goal and three assists.

Bryce Hummel (Fr., Midfield) lead the midfielders with three goals and one assist, while going 15 of 22 at the faceoff circle. Matt Casto (Fr., Midfield) capped of the goal scoring with one goal. Adding helpers to their stat totals were Josh Nordstrom (Jr., Midfield) with four assists and Riley Corbett (Jr., Midfield) with three assists. John Harzan (Fr., Goalie) was called upon to make six saves in the game.
