March 19, 2014 – The Biola University Eagle men’s lacrosse team faltered in their fourth conference game of the year, losing to crosstown rival Cal State Fullerton, as the Titans rode a hot fourth quarter to victory.

Fullerton got out to a quick 3-1 lead after the first quarter, before pushing their lead to three, 5-2, at halftime. The Eagles were able to get back into the game in the third quarter, outscoring Fullerton 3-1, to bring the game to a 6-5 score late in the third. The Titans quickly answered back, scoring twice to take an 8-5 lead into the fourth. Fullerton put the game away in the final quarter, as a short-manned Eagles’ squad was outscored 6-1, sealing the 14-6 win for the Titans.

Eric Gamelson (So., Attack) and Jon Prichard (Fr., Attack) co-lead the Eagles in scoring, each notching two goals. David Shaum (So., Attack) and Bryce Hummel (Fr., Midfield) rounding out Biola’s scoring with a goal each. Riley Corbett (Jr., Midfield), Jonathan Moranski (Sr., Midfield) and Josh Nordstrom (Jr., Midfield) all chipped in with an assist each. John Harzan (Fr., Goalie) stood tall in cage with 14 saves.
