March 19, 2011 -The Biola men’s lacrosse team fell short in their bid to win their second conference game on Saturday, losing 8-4 to the Pepperdine Waves. After a 2-2 tie in the first quarter, both offenses turned sluggish, with only one goal in the second quarter. The Waves took a 3-2 into the half, but were not done yet. Biola was outscored 2-1 in both the third and fourth quarters, allowing Pepperdine to extend their lead to 6-3 after the third, and ultimately their 8-4 victory.

Sophomore attackman Jeff Clark led Biola with two goals, and recorded the game’s only assist.  Sophomore midfielder Scott Gamelson scored a goal in his return to his natural position, after filling in at attack for several games. Senior defenseman Justin Harrington was able to break free for his first goal of the season. Freshman goalie Jimmy Perdomo-Hazen did his best to keep Biola in the game, recording a season high 15 saves.
