Biola Bounces Visiting Regis
March 6, 2012 – The Biola University men’s lacrosse team played host to Regis University of Denver, continuing the Rangers’ tough trip to California, with the Eagles’ 17-6 win. Regis played their third game in four days, playing Occidental and Fullerton the weekend prior.
Both teams started out slow, but Biola managed to take a 3-1 lead after the first quarter. Regis managed to find the back of the net three times in the second quarter, but Biola’s offense proved to be too much, as they scored eight times to extend their lead to 11-4 at halftime.

Biola Hands First Loss to Occidental
March 4, 2012 – The Biola University men’s lacrosse team dealt Occidental College their first loss of the season, winning 16-3 and improving their conference record to 2-0. Biola used a strong first quarter to jump out to a 4-0 lead before Occidental got on the board on an unsettled fast break.
The second and third quarters played out the same way, with Biola outscoring Occidental 4-1 in both frames. In the fourth, Biola’s defense kept Occidental out of the goal, and the offense tacked on four more goals to extend the lead.

Biola Falls to #10 Concordia
February 25, 2012 – The Biola University men’s lacrosse team couldn’t hold back the offensive onslaught of Concordia University, falling into an early 4-0 hole, and unable to recover, losing 16-7. Concordia opened the game scoring on the opening face-off, and took control from there. Biola’s defense was unable to contain Concordia’s potent attack line, who combined for 10 goals.

Narrow Loss to Claremont Opens Season
February 11, 2012 – The Biola men’s lacrosse team started their 2012 campaign with a close 7-8 loss at the hands of Claremont. The Eagles were unable to get past Claremont’s goalie for the tying goal, despite having three chances in the final 30 seconds. Freshman midfielder Matt Young let loose a hard left-handed shot that sailed wide, followed by a bounce shot from senior midfielder Jon McMahan that narrowly missed crossing the goal line, even with last second help from senior midfielder David Sigley.
