Time Runs Out on Biola’s Comeback

March 23, 2011 – The Biola men’s lacrosse team ran out of time in the final stages of their game against Metro State, ending their comeback bid. After a close first quarter that ended in a 2-2 tie, Biola managed to win the second quarter, taking a slim 5-4 lead at halftime. Metro State came out of halftime ready to fight, putting five goals on the scoreboard to take over the lead, with a 9-7 score heading into the final quarter. Biola Bounces Back With Win

March 21, 2011 – The Biola men’s lacrosse team bounced back from their Saturday loss, as they played host to the visiting Wildcats of Central Washington University. Six separate Eagles found their way onto the scoring sheet, as Biola’s offense found their stride. The Eagles went up early, taking a 3-1 lead into the second quarter. Eagles Dealt a Pair of Loses

March 5-6, 2011 – The Biola men’s lacrosse team suffered two set backs over the weekend, losing 19-9 on Saturday to UC San Diego, and 5-4 to Fort Lewis on Sunday. After a 4-2 first quarter lead for UCSD, they managed to put in five more goals, to Biola’s two, to stretch the lead to 9-4 at the half. Biola Earns First Win in Home Opener

February 25, 2011 – The Biola Eagles snapped their three-game losing streak, winning 15-11 over Cal State Channel Islands (CSUCI) in Biola’s first home game, and first conference game, of the 2011 season.  The Eagles jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead thanks in part to sophomore attackman Jeff Clark who had two early goals.  Biola’s defense kept up the aggressive play into the second quarter, giving up only one goal, allowing the Eagles to take a 10-3 lead at halftime. Biola’s Early Season Woes Continue

February 19, 2011 – The Eagle’s early season struggles continued on Saturday, as they lost to Concordia 17-4. The loss is Biola’s first ever loss to Concordia. Concordia’s attack line and transition game was too much for Biola, as they quickly fell behind 3-1 after the first quarter. Sophomore attackman Jeff Clark was able to get free from behind the goal several times, resulting in Biola’s lone first quarter goal.
