March 26, 2011 – The Biola men’s lacrosse team bounced back from their Wednesday night loss with win over the Mariners of Marymount College on Saturday. Biola earned their first ever shutout, posting a 24-0 win over the Mariners. The Eagles jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead within the first 2:30 of the game, and extended the lead to 9-0 after the first quarter. March 23, 2011 – The Biola men’s lacrosse team ran out of time in the final stages of their game against Metro State, ending their comeback bid. After a close first quarter that ended in a 2-2 tie, Biola managed to win the second quarter, taking a slim 5-4 lead at halftime. Metro State came out of halftime ready to fight, putting five goals on the scoreboard to take over the lead, with a 9-7 score heading into the final quarter. March 19, 2011 -The Biola men’s lacrosse team fell short in their bid to win their second conference game on Saturday, losing 8-4 to the Pepperdine Waves. After a 2-2 tie in the first quarter, both offenses turned sluggish, with only one goal in the second quarter. The Waves took a 3-2 into the half, but were not done yet. Biola was outscored 2-1 in both the third and fourth quarters, allowing Pepperdine to extend their lead to 6-3 after the third, and ultimately their 8-4 victory.

March 5-6, 2011 – The Biola men’s lacrosse team suffered two set backs over the weekend, losing 19-9 on Saturday to UC San Diego, and 5-4 to Fort Lewis on Sunday. After a 4-2 first quarter lead for UCSD, they managed to put in five more goals, to Biola’s two, to stretch the lead to 9-4 at the half. UCSD’s offense came out of halftime just as hot as they were in the first half, scoring seven times in the third to take a commanding 16-6 lead into the final quarter. December 16, 2010 – The 2011 Biola men’s lacrosse final schedule and roster have been posted. The schedule shows promise for an excellent season and a return trip to the SLC conference playoffs. Four of the Eagles’ first five games find them on the road, including games against SLC D1 opponents Claremont and UCLA. Biola closes out their regular season schedule with four straight games on the friendly turf of Al Barbour Field, including a game against cross-town rival Cal State Fullerton.
