March 26, 2011 – The Biola men’s lacrosse team bounced back from their Wednesday night loss with win over the Mariners of Marymount College on Saturday. Biola earned their first ever shutout, posting a 24-0 win over the Mariners. The Eagles jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead within the first 2:30 of the game, and extended the lead to 9-0 after the first quarter. Biola’s offense slowed only slightly, putting up five more goals in the second, taking a 14-0 into halftime. In the third, Biola matched their first quarter output of nine goals, allowing them to coast into the fourth quarter, scoring once in the final frame.

Sophomore attackman Jeff Clark led all scorers with 13 total points on seven goals and six assists. Fellow attackman junior Marc Morgan had two goals but amassed four helpers, while freshman attackman David Martin added four goals and an assist; sophomore midfielder Robby Roach also chipped in with four goals. Junior midfielder Joey Prentiss scored both of his goals after taking over attack duties from Clark. Senior defenseman Justin Harrington, sophomore midfielder Scott Gamelson, junior midfielder Jayson Schivley, freshman midfielder Justin Ahn and sophomore midfielder Jairus Burish all scored once during the game. Additional assists came from Gamelson and senior defenseman Sean Lane. the goals Schivley, Ahn and Prentiss were all their first goals as Biola Eagles. Freshman goalie Jimmy Perdomo-Hazen made seven saves and junior midfielder/goalie Daris Chang recorded two saves.
